Abstract
The paper shows that the Nigerian society is an emerging Information ami
Communication Technology (ICT) society and that the best place to nurture information
handling skills and information literacy for life-long development is the Nigerian school library.
Discussing the challenges of Nigerian school libraries in an emerging ICT environment, the
paper highlights funding and capacity building as the major problems towards successful ICT
applications and use in Nigerian school libraries.
