In this study of feedback through the print media, the co-investigators appraised competing communication theories. After adoption of one theory, thirty-three articles from 3 sampled newspapers were analyzed and characterization of the articles was carried out. 3 main criteria were used for making observations about the articles. This included the content of the article, the style of presentation and the context within which the writing occurred. The incidence offeedback was also gauged. The study made specific statements regarding the potential power of feedback in promoting literacy habits.
