Abstract
This study evaluates the effectiveness of information systems (IS) in enhancing library service delivery
and institutional development at Baze University Library, Abuja. One research question was raised to
find out to what extent do integrate information systems (people, processes, and technology
influence library service delivery and institutional development at Baze University Library, a
mixed-method approach was adopted, combining quantitative survey data from library staff and users
with qualitative insights from interviews and system usage reports. Secondary data from academic
literature and institutional documents further supported the analysis. Findings reveal that integrated
information systems significantly improve access to information resources, service efficiency, user
satisfaction, and institutional visibility. Key systems identified include the Integrated Library System
(ILS), digital institutional repository, electronic databases, and library management platforms. The
study highlights challenges related to staff training, system integration, and change management, which
affect optimal system utilization. The study concludes that integrated information systems
significantly enhance library service delivery and contribute to institutional development at
Baze University Library. By aligning people, processes, and technology, the library has
improved access to information resources, service efficiency, user satisfaction, and
institutional visibility The paper recommends continuous professional development, improved system
integration, and strategic investment in scalable digital infrastructure to enhance library services and
institutional development in private universities
