Abstract
The research was to determine the effects of determined socio-cultural house forms on home activities among native occupants in Adamawa State. Five objectives and five research questions were formulated with five related null hypotheses. Survey research design was employed for the study. The population for the study was fifteen thousand, one hundred (15,100) native occupants from the twenty-one (21) Local Governments Areas of Adamawa State. The sample size was three hundred and ninety- nine(399) respondents drawn from the population. Simple random sampling and proportionate random sampling techniques were used for the selection of the sample size. Frequencies and percentages were used to analyze the bio-data. Mean and standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while Multiple regression statistical analysis at 0.05 level of significance was used to test the null research hypotheses. Hypotheses 1, 3, 4 and 5 were rejected on the fact that there is significant relationship that exist between socio-cultural house forms and meal preparation, house sanitation, storage and clothing maintenance activities among occupants in Adamawa State. Hypothesis 2 was retained which revealed that there is no significant relationship that exist between socio-cultural house forms and leisure activities among occupants in Adamawa State.ome recommendations were proferred on how to improve the socio-cultural house forms in order to accommodate the various home activities with ease.
