T There is a lot of negative attitude to Wole Soyinka especially among students and teachers. The general belief is that Soyinka is unnecessarily and deliberately being difficult in his writings. This project attempts to see if Soyinka is really as difficult as claimed and even if he is, whether what he has to offer is not good enough to justify the extra effort needed for the understanding of his works. A look is taken at the way drama is taught in Nigerian schools and an alternative drama teaching method suggested, using Soyinka's works as a base of reference. iven_US
