In the present education environment, academic libraries are increasingly relying on information and communication technology to enhance information access and service delivery. This has made digital literacy skills an essential requirement for library staff who must effectively utilize ICT tools in the provision of library services to users. This study therefore investigated the influence of availability and utilization of ICT tools on the digital literacy skill of academic library staff in Gboko, Nigeria. The study adopted a survey research method using a descriptive research design. The population comprised 19 academic library staff drawn from three institutions: Akperan Orshi Polytechnic Yandev, University of Mkar, Mkar and Gboko Polytechnic Gboko. Data were collected through structured questionnaires; consent of librarians were sought. Nineteen copies of the questionnaire were administered to respondents and of the number, 18 were fully completed. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics while chi-square was used to test hypothesis. The study discovered that several ICT tools were available in the libraries studied. The result indicated that library staff highly utilize available ICT tools for professional duties such as bibliographic searches and assisting users to access and use electronic information resources. The result of inferential statistic on the test of hypotheses revealed that there is no statistically significant relationship between availability, utilization and digital literacy skills development of academic library staff. Therefore, it recommends improved ICT infrastructure and continuous professional training to strengthen digital literacy skills of librarians.
