Abstract
This paper, Digital Technologies and Information-Based Enterprise Development in Nigerian
Breweries, examines the role of digital technologies in enhancing the growth and performance
of modern enterprises. The study explores how digital tools such as cloud computing, artificial
intelligence, big data analytics, and digital communication systems contribute to improving
productivity, communication, decision-making, innovation, and overall business efficiency in
information-based enterprises. A descriptive research design was adopted, using secondary
data obtained from textbooks, journal articles, and other relevant publications. The data were
analysed using qualitative descriptive analysis aligned with the study's objectives. The findings
reveal that digital technologies significantly improve operational efficiency by automating
business processes and enabling faster access to information. They also enhance
communication and support data-driven decision-making, which leads to better business
outcomes. Furthermore, the study shows that digital technologies promote competitiveness and
innovation by enabling enterprises to expand their markets and improve customer satisfaction
through digital platforms. However, challenges such as cybersecurity threats, high
implementation costs, lack of digital skills, and resistance to technological change continue to
hinder effective adoption in many enterprises. The study concludes that digital technologies
are essential for the development of information-based enterprises and long-term business
sustainability. It recommends increased investment in digital infrastructure, employee training,
cybersecurity measures, and strategic planning to ensure successful digital transformation.
