Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) which can be termed as a lifelong complex development disorder usually affecting children. It’s relatively new but rapidly growing in developing countries. Thus there is need for rehabilitation centre to cater for parents affected by Autism. This dissertation explores the application of forms and colours as a mitigating factor towards treatment and rehabilitation of patients suffering from Autism. Methodology employed was the case study of five existing ASD rehabilitation centers both local and international with a view of ascertaining the shortcomings or otherwise. Interviews were also conducted with staff, parents, administrators and patients. The data so obtained were summarized, analyzed as it relates to enhancing the use of architectural forms and colours in the design of the rehabilitation centre. The proposed project will include a school, specifically tailored towards the need of the children in terms of special requirements of building forms (curvilinear walls), light, sound, colour, and the landscape of the environment. the result revealed that colour and curvilinear form unlike the regular edge form aid in the healing process of the patients. Recommendation that could enhance and guarantee a most conducive atmosphere that will aid the healing process, quality of life of the ASD patients were suggested.en_US
