Abstract
The roots of Trielisia subcordata have been exhaustivelyextracted
with methanol. Extraction of the methanol extract
with dilute hydrochloric acid followed by Gasification gave
an alkaloidal fraction which on Column Chromatography yielded
a major compound (A). Based on chemical and spectroscopic
evidence, (A) has been tentatively assigned structures
(18-19).
