Abstract
The paper investigated the exposition of LOML patrons using environmental scanning. The aim is to ascertain the benefits or otherw ise for the inclusion of library patrons ’ suggestion as alluded by patrons during a preliminary discourse before decision making by LOML. A survey design and the use of closed ended; multiple choice questionnaire was used to elicit data from the LOML for the study. Data collected were analysed using SPSS IBM version 21. Descriptive and inferential test were used to analyse the data collected. Inferential test was performed at alpha level of 5%. The findings provided the felt needs of patrons (students) who indicated exclusion by the library as concerns. Recommendations made were in line with the study objectives to reposition the library to respond competitively, effectively and efficiently as anticipated by the different categories of students who availed themselves to the study.
