Abstract
The activities of the Nigerian Universities in the recent times have become epleptic as a result of intermittent industrial strikes which the staff often embark upon as a means of pressing home their demands for better conditions of service. This study was designed to examine the work situations of the Senior Staff in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, so as to know the impact of this on the staff feelings towards their jobs. The main instruments of data collection were through questionnaire and personal interviews administered on a sample of 150 Senior Staff, divided equally into academic and non-academic groups. The results obtained through these instruments were supported with what the researcher observed in the course of the fact finding mission. At the end of the study, it was revealed that the work climate of the senior staff in Ahmadu Bello University is good and that the senior staff have positive feelings towards their jobs.
