The thesis aims at studying the quality of the sandcrete blocks produced in Kano State and as such journals, codes, standards and other research materials were consulted and looked into carefully. The tests carried out include development strength test (wet and dry), wet compressive test, drying shrinkage, moisture movement and density in accordance with established standards the details of which are presented in chapter three. The last chapter (chapter 4) discusses the findings of the research oy indicating that the quality of sandcrete blocks produced in Kano is low since the compressive strength lies between (0.25 and 0.92) N/mm2 compared with the minimum value of 2.50 N/mm2 specified by the code.en_US
