In recent years a new generalized family of continuous distribution known as beta-G Distribution was proposed. This Base-Line Distribution has been used to generate new distributions. We proposed therefore in this research an extension of kumaraswamy distribution using the logit of the beta random variable and study some of its properties. The Probability Density Function (PDF) and Cumulative Density Function (CDF)of the Beta -kumaraswamy are defined. Hazard Rate Function, Survival Function and Asymptotic Behavior of the distribution are obtained. The method of maximum likelihood was used to estimate the parameters of the newdistribution. The performance of the distribution was evaluated using both simulated and real-lifedatasets. The new distribution is recommended for modeling positively skewed datasets with higher peaks and tails.it was alsoquite flexible when subjected to some of the existing distribution by fitting it to two real datasetsen_US
