Abstract
The Contents of Quarterly Journal of Administration (QJN) for the period of 25 years were analyzed to find out the nature of publication, authorship, editorial policy, etc. 630 contributions, out of which 400 (63:49%) articles and 230 (36:51 %) book/article review were made by 284 and 119 contributors respectively The analysis illustrates the conceptual, theoretical and methodological nature of research in Administration in Nigeria. It also
shows that these researches have on the whole been individualistic and theoretical. The study concluded that there is the need to encourage collaboration among researchers in the area of Administration as well as diversification or researches into empirical and practical type of research. Finally, the study suggests among other things, the need to apply ISSN as well as sending copies for Indexing and Abstracting in Library
and Information Science Abstracting (LISA).
