The area is made up of mig matites, migmatitic gneisses, granite gneisses nnd parphyrablastic granite gneisses, forming part of the migmatitic complex belonging to the Nigerian Precambrian basement complex. These rocks represent various stages of homogenisatinn in the process of migmatisation. They could have been formed by the migmatizotion of the reactivated gneisses and ether supracrustal rocks of the Oaho meyan successions (with ages of about 2,800 - 2,500 million years.)en_US
