Abstract
Facility management ensures functionality of the built environment by putting process, people, place and technology into consideration. Given the importance of people as a resource to organisations, this research focused on how Sick Building Syndrome impacts on employees of the banking workplace in Kaduna. Questionnaires lvere used to collect data and the data was analysed, ranked and presented in charts and tables. Results obtained showed mental and physical fatigue, headaches, loss of concentration, aches and pains as well as hoarseness were the symptoms of sick building that abound in the banking workplaces. Subsequently, concentrations of workers, their ability to move, observe, and think while working were undermined. It is recommended that sources of Sick Building Syndrome in the workplace be seriously looked into so as to make amendments that will improve well being of people at work and ultimately ensure higher productivity.
