dc.description.abstractBudget is a special tool that is being used by the Management Officers for efficient and effective utilization of scarce resources. For an effective and result oriented management the budget should be used as a control mechanism and also a oriented management that budget should be used as a control mechanism and also means of doing away with confusion and complication of programmes. The budget can only be effective if it is being used in collaboration with the other managerial techniques and procedures as prepared by the organization. If all the above are techniques and procedures as prepared by the organisation. If all the above are taken into confidence, the success anticipated from the budget and budgeting will be achieved. The title of our research is Management of Budget in me public sector. A case study of Sabon-Gari Local Government Zaria. We intend to study thoroughly the analysis ot the Sabon-Gari Local Government Budget in relation to the way it was managed in terms of allocation to the spending departments of the local government. Consideration has been made of the departments of the local government. Consideration has been made of the procedures of the budget management in the local government for the period of one year. An efficient of Management of Budgets in an organization. A faulty management of budget speak doom of an organization and will lead to an unprecedented crises in the organization.
