dc.description.abstractABSTRACT Philosophy The legal profession is one of the few profession in Nigeria that has been highly internationally ranked. In attaining this platform, the legal practioners have always emulated the law school as a doyen of their knowledge. This on the other hand has enhanced the hierarchy of Nigerian lawyers on the international scene. A Nigerian at present is presiding over the World Court, a standard school that will represent the dignity of the legal profession is therefore a worthwhile thesis project. Goals and Objectives The Nigerian Law School started in 1963 on a temporary site with a student intake of 20, but at present the student enrolment has risen to 1,6500. The primary objective of this thesis project will therefore be, To evolve a design that will satisfy the owner/users requirements by obviating the existing architectural problems in a view to create unity in the diversified functions of each architectural space abnormally existing in such an institution. The main goal however, is to create a new social, functional environment condusive for learning, guidance and mutual interaction between the staff and students by evolving a pragmatic landscape design taking into consideration the provision of adequate car-parks, pedestrian routes, greenery, good accessibility, conscientious use of specified trees and outdoor spaces.en_US
