Abstract
Although Secondary Technical Education in Kano State could be viewed from many angles, the researcher focused his attention on the financial aspect only. The object of the study was to find out the unit cost, the average unit cost and the total cost of money involved in running the Secondary Technical Schools in Kano State by the State Government. For this analysis costs were categorized as follows:- (a) Direct Instructional Cost - This involved teachers' salaries and allowances. (b) Indirect Instructional Cost - This concerned the expenditure incurred by the payment of salaries and allowances of the supportive staff, the Principal of the School, cost of equipment and materials, payment of water and electricity bills and other running costs. (c) Student Support Cost. This covered Students' maintenance, students' pocket money and students' travelling allowances. (d) Implementary Cost - covers costs on health and Library Services
