dc.description.abstractThis study, intends to explore the activities of the production line of a textile mill With the aid of a tool of operations research - Linear Programming. The management of the textile mill is facing loss problems and they have attributed some reasons for this, and the intention of this project is to apply L.P. and find out if reasons other than those sited by the management of this company could be found, and to see if the situation of this company can be improved by this application of this O.P. tool. In carrying out the research, a questionnaire was designed in such a way as to fish out facts about the objective function of the company, the constraints facing the company, and the tecmological coefficients currently prevailing in the company. In the final analysis, fourteen (14) variable and thirteen (13) constraints were identified and the problem which was solved by simplex algorithun presented itself as a twenty-seven (27) by thirteen (13) matrix. This was solve by the computer and conclusions were made.en_US
