Modern societies have totally become close communities as a result of mankind's tremendous achievements in international relations, communications and diplomatic exchange which has made cultures and neighbourness globally international. Nations of the world strive to maintain a bond of cohesion in international affairs and diplomacy has resulted in the establishment of embassies, high commissions, and consulates between nations. In the life of the diplomats, there is a strong link between the official work and informal social life. In this regard the thesis could be divided broadly into three main parts. Part one would be concerned with the literature review related to diplomats and diplomacy, leisure, recreation and planning for recreational, historical development of club house architecture, social and psychological factors in architecture, and case studies. Part two would examine the ways and means of architectural response to the social needs and requirements of the diplomats. Part three would be principally concerned with site selection, brief development and design report.
