the 'wheel' of economic activity and, the faster rate of growth
envisaged in the economy the more the facilities required from
the banking industry.
Through the mobilisation of funds from surplus sector and
dispensation of credit to the deficit sector, the banks transfer
resources from current consumption to the creation of the
plant, equipment and raw materials for production. By providing
the means of production for those who otherwise would not have
been able to get such opportunity, banks, thus, make tremendous
contribution to economic growth and development.
While it is difficult to measure quantitatively, the
contributions of banking institutions to economic development
the growth in their operations as represented by deposits
mobilised and credit disbursed over time, gives a reasonable
indication of their contribution. Secondly, the indigineous
bank and the rural banking scheme provides the economy with
a good net work of banking services that enlarge banks
contribution to the country's economic growth and development.

Bank Nigeria PLC manage it funds. It will look into the
various ways on means it secure it funds and the manner
it apply the funds into various uses.
It is hoped that by the end of the research study,

take appropriate steps in reframing their policy regarding
the management of there funds for efficiency and effectiveness,
and for the overall economy growth and development
