Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the women perception of involvement in agriculture and the influence on level of living in Kaduna state and the Federal Capital Territory. Four (4) research questions and four (4) null hypotheses were formulated as a guide. Descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The population of the study consisted of 7,685 women farmers Kaduna state and the FCT Abuja. A sample of 500 women farmers was selected randomly. A structured questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection, with the help of agricultural extensions officers at the agricultural zones. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (mean score) t-test analysis. T-test analysis showed that calculated t-values on the influence o women‟s involvement in agriculture in both Kaduna State and FCT on their level of income (0.98), health status (1.10), nutritional status (1.11) and food security (1.12) were all less than t-critical (1.96) therefore all four null hypotheses were retained. It is concluded that women involvement in agriculture increases their income level, improves their health status, enhances their nutritional status and helps to ensure their food security in both Kaduna State and the Federal Capital Territory.
