Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the Senior Secondary School Students’ Performance in Hausa Derivational and Inflectional Morphological Process in Kaduna state. The study attempted to find out the SS2 Students’ Morphological performance levels based on Hausa Derivational and Inflectional ProcessesTest. The study,need descriptive design and a sample size of 200 Students’ across ten senior secondary school classes. The instrument used for this study was a planned test of 50 questions, in form of fill in the blank spaces and multiple choice test. Descriptive statistics was used in analyzing the data collected for the study. The study discovered that SS2 students’ performance was generally higher in Hausa Derivation than in Hausa Inflection. The study also discovered that female students’ performed better than their male counterparts in both of the Hausa Morphological Processes. It recommended that Hausa derivation and inflection should be included into SSS Hausa Language Curriculum. It finally recommended that a study of this nature should be conducted in Unit Secondary Schools.
Dukkanin godiya ta tabbata ga Allah, mahaliccin sammai da ƙassai wanda idan da ba da amincewarsa da taimakonsa da jagorancinsa ba, wannan aiki da bai yiwu ba. Tsira da amincin Allah su tabbata ga ɗan lelensa, cikamakon annabawa, Annabi Muhammad (SAW). Wajibi ne a gare ni in bayyana godiyata ta ga dukkan waɗanda himmarsu da gudunmawarsu ta fuskar ilimi, karfin jikinsu da abin hannunsu, suka taimaka wajen samun nasarar kammaluwar wannan aiki.
Godiyata mai tarin yawa ga jajirtaccen jagorar wannan aiki, Farfesa Sadiq Muhammad, wanda ya kasance mai haƙuri a ko da yaushe da rashin nuna gajiya. Na yi matuƙar godiya da duk nau’o’in taimako da ya bani. Har ila yau ina miƙa muhimmiyar godiya ta ga jagora, uwa, Farfesa Ramlatu Jibir-Daura don gagarumin taimakon da ta bayar wajen tabbatuwar wannan aiki.
Wannan aiki ba zai kammalu ba sai an ambaci gudummawa da taimakon Dr. S.T. Dan Abdu, Dr. Hauwa Muhammad Bugaje, Mal. Muhammad Rabiu Tahir da Mal. Auwal Inusa.
Godiya ta mara iyaka ga iyayena, ‘yanuwa maza da mata, mai ɗakina da yara, saboda hana kansu barci da suka yi, da kuma danginmu gaba daya. Allah ya saka maku da Aljannah Firdausi.
Gareku abokan karatu na, Aliyu Yako Inuwa, Safiya Bature, Anas Ismail Abubakar, Hayatu Ishaq Zaharaddeen da Kabiru Usman Ibrahim. Na gode maku matuƙa domin shawarwarinku da karfafawa a lokacin gudanar da wannan aiki. Ina miƙa godiyata da jin daɗi ga duk wani wanda yaba da gudunmuwarsa ta kowace iriyar fuska, don samun nasarar kammaluwar wannan aiki da ci gaban karatu na. Rashin shigar sunayenku a wannan shafi ba yana nufin na manta da ku ba ne. Allah (SWT) ya ci gaba da saka maku da alkhairansa.
