Abstract
Nigerian National Parks was established in order to have a unified
National Park system in the Country. The Organisation has its
headquarters in Abuja which should be coordinating the programs of
the Organisation
The headquarters building requires a good planning because it
will function as a centre for collection, processing and storage of
information relevant to the six (6) newly established national parks
in the country and consequent issue of instruction for the
organization.
The design of an office, is a challenging process involving the
organization of various spatial zones consisting of intricately related
functional spaces to work together in architectural unity. It should
as well as responding to the special requirements like adequate
circulation, and articulate services network.
One of the major problems affecting the efficient functioning
of the office building is circulation. The aim of this thesis is
to conduct a research on the problems of circulation in an office
space and provide some architectural solutions to it. The study is
limited to pedestrain circulation as it affects space requirements
and spatial organization of the building structure.
The objective is to provide an efficient office building for
National Park Headquarters, Abuja, for the success of recently
established unified national parks system in the country.
