dc.description.abstractA B S T R A C T Television is most desired in many s o c i e t i e s . I t ' s impact on the people could even surpass one's imagination as it plays a role in man's everyday l i f e a c t i v i t i e s such as education, p o l i t i c s, economy, social welfare and other aspects. For effective usage of the television, i t s provision should oonsider those factors problematic to the use, through the understanding of the working of the television programme production system. The issue of noise control is pre-eminent, thus i t s control has to be effective particularly for the television studio. The understanding of noise and i t s source with respect to the studio contribute to some extent in order to achieve good r e s u l t s.Therefore, an attempt to isolate noise from the studio brings about the considerations such as those of s i t e selection/location, s i te survey and analysis with respect to noise, s i t e zonning and other architectural noise control methods such as the use of double walls,double doors, sound lobby, double glazing windows, sound absorbers and other studio interior treatment which, a l l put together made impact in solving the problem of noise in the television studio.Therefore, this thesis seeks to carry out a study of the control of noise in the television studio which involves the considerations mentioned above.en_US
