dc.description.abstractThe study investigated perception of secondary school teachers on causes and remedies to parental discrimination of girls –child enrolment in to school in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna state. The study tried to find out if significance difference exist between the perception of male and female secondary schools teachers on causes and remedies to parental discrimination on girls child enrolment in to school. The study adopted a descriptive design involving a survey method. The population for secondary schools teachers was one thousand. A simple random sampling procedure was used in selecting the two hundred and fifty teachers. The instrument used was questionnaire. The statistical used to test the research question was percentages and means. Independent ttest was used to analyzed the research hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result revealed no significance different exist between the perception of male and female teachers on the causes and remedies to parental discrimination on girl-child enrolment in school. However there is significance difference between the perception of urban and rural teachers on the causes of parental discrimination of girl-child enrolment in school. Based on the findings the study recommended that parents should desist from allowing their children to hawk on the street instead of going to school.en_US
