Abstract
The object of my thesis is to investigate the adequacy of medical and health facilities in Bichi District of Kano state. It is obvious, from research that the provisions for medical and health facilities are grossly inadequate, in scope and ineffective in serving the people of this area. I also require to investigate the architectural implications of providing one or a group of needed health facilities. In view of this, I reached the conclusion that the people of this area needed not only one complex Hospital, but a wide distribution of fill the types of health-care facilities located in various points within the District-to have medical and health facilities at within the doors of the people of the area. A master plan for the district has proposed for the provision of one full-fledged General Hospital, a district Hospital, three Comprehensive Health-centres, and six primary Health-centres. Thus, my thesis is to take up, the proposed District Hospital, bearing in mind, the areas of medical care, which the people require the most.
