dc.description.abstractThis research work titled Assessment of Early Childhood Education Graduates on Attainment of Pre-primary Education Objectives in North-central Geo-political Zone of Nigeria. The main objective of this study was to assess the Early Childhood Education graduates on attainment of pre-primary education objectives. The study had seven specific objectives, among other was to determine the extent at which Early Childhood Education graduates prepare children for smooth transition from home to school. In line with the objectives, seven research questions and seven null hypotheses were raised. Descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The total population of the study was 801 parents of early school children. Three hundred and fifty (350) parents were used for the study. Self designed four rating scale structured questionnaire was administered to parents for data collection. Face to face method was employed for data collection. Table of frequencies and percentage was used to analyze the respondents‟ bio-data. An index 2.5 weighted mean score was used an benchmark for answering research questions while Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMC) was used to test all the null hypotheses at 0.05 levels of significance. The study revealed among others that, Early Childhood Education graduates prepared children for smooth transition from home to school. The researcher concluded that method of evaluation strategy adopted by Early Childhood Education graduate teachers in inculcating good health habit to the nursery school children was not properly checked by the school. Based on the findings and conclusion it was recommended among other that, parents of children enrolled in Early Childhood Education should send their children to schools with graduates of early childhood education and teachers who want to teach at this level should obtain a minimum of NCE, degree certificate in Early Childhood Educationen_US
