dc.description.abstractThis study, Relati economics Government secondary schools in Kaduna State, Nigeria was conducted with the objectives among others to: determine the relationship between qualified teachers in Economics secondary schools in Kaduna State; and find out the relationship that exists between qualifications and students performance in senior secondary schools in Kaduna State. Also, six research questions and six research hypotheses were postulated in line with the objectives. The population of the study was four hundred and thirty three thousand, two hundred and seventy three (433,273) students and teachers also the sample size consist of three hundred and fifty-three (353) students and seventeen teachers (17) kindly responded to the questionnaire and test instrument. Survey and ex-post factor design were adopted for the study. The data gathered were analyzed using t-test and hypotheses were tested at 0.05% level of significance. Findings revealed a significant relationship between qualified teachers of Economic chools in Kaduna State. The result showed no relationship between male and female Economics qualifications and in senior secondary schools in Kaduna State. Findings also revealed that there is a significant relationship between experienced teachers in dary Schools in Kaduna. Furthermore, the result showed a relationship between Economics teachers in urban and rural schools work experience and students performance in senior secondary schools in Kaduna State. Based on the findings, it was recommended that Government should employ only competent and academically sound teachers to teach Economics in the Government secondary schools in Kaduna State.en_US
