dc.description.abstractThis research work is an assessment of the Impact of Trade fairs on the performance of some selected five participants of Kaduna International Trade Fair for five conservative years. International Trade Fair have assumed great importance in recent times although they are essentially Commercial Ventures aimed at promoting businesses in the Nigerian Economy. They are also considered as avenues for technological development and services. It is against this background that the provocation to critically assess and appraise the Impact for five consecutive years on what they have gained in terms of profit maximisation of sale maximisation and to what extent has the experience shape their operation in line with the Economic development of Nigeria in each of the sectors, small contribution either in terms of employment or value added to the economics growth what indications are directly related to Trade Fair and how have their performance improved as a result of their continued participation in the fairs year in year out. These and other indices to measure the impact of Trade Fairs on participating companies is what the research intended to assessed. After collecting and analyzing the data from various sources, the research concluded that International Trade Fairs are strategic ways of injecting new ideas in various business, dimension as well as mobilizing and introducing new Technological developments into Nigerian Economy. Suggestions and recommendations are made as to how trade Fairs can be effectively used for enhancing economic developments at both states and the Federal levels in Nigeria.en_US
