Information on the time study of mechanical cotton picking is useful to farm managers, researchers, and cotton harvesting machinery designers. Using operational analysis, time study information can be used to improve the field performance of cotton picking machines, and yield clues for machine design changes. This report presents a time study of mechanical cotton picking made during the 1974 harvest season. The time study information was used to compute the machine field capacitive performance. Factors affecting the performance are discussed. A method for mechanizing the collection of the time study information was designed for installation and testingen_US
