It was on t h i s b a s i s item a n a l y s i s was conducted and consequently r e s u l t e d in coming up with two s e t s of p a r a l l e l t e s t s which were f i n a l l y administered to 772 c l a s s t h r e e pupils in 20 primary schools randomly s e l e c t e d in Zaria Local Government Area of K a d u n t a state. The r e s u l t of the finding also showed that the mean performances of boys and g i r l s were r e l a t i v e l y the same in t e s t in a l l the t e s t s. The r e l i a b i l i t y c o e f f i c i e n t s for a l l the v a r i a b l e s in the study were significant at 0.05 l e v e l of s i g n i f i c a n c e . At the same time the v a l i d i t y coefficient for t e s t I and t e s t II were found to be .88 and .86 r e s p e c t i v e l y.
