Abstract
ABSTRACT This thesis looked into the various security problem in banking industry in Nigeria. It analysed the sitution and came up with architectural solution to the problem of security in banking. Specifically in Nigeria, Money in form of cash still serve as the basic means of financial transaction in our daily activities. A major barrier against the growth of the Nigerian economy has been the rate of crime. Prominent among these crimes are Arson, buglary, smuggling, theft, advanced fraudry, etc. The problem associated with security in banks are internal and external problems. Externally, the problem of entrance location, fencing gatehouses, parking and cash van entrance. Internally however, there is the problem of locating the strongroom, safe deposit vaults, note counting room, staff and customers entrance and the cashier cubicle. This piece of work looked into this various and numerous incessant problems in bank design, analysed and provided effective solutions that could arrest all existing and non-existing crimes in our financial industries. It is as a result of the urgent need to rescue our economy that Afribank regional office Kaduna is proposed for this thesis.
