Abstract
This project is meant to interpret. analyze and evaluate the
performance of Afribank Nigeria PLc and Bank of the North ltd.
using financial ratios as a tool of financial Analysis.
Eleven ratios were used to analyse and evaluate the
performance of the banks which were chosen for the similarity
age branch spread and staff size. Some of these ratios show
specific problems such as low current ratio, high debt ratio.

Finally, conclusions and recommendations have been drawn base
on the interview conducted and problems highlighted by the ratio
