This study on the perceptions of the Educational Administrators, Principal and Teachers about the planning and implementations of the Introductory Technology programme was undertaken in order to find out the perception of the planners and the implementers of the programme in kaduna state. The various literature related to the problem were reviewed to provide framework for the study. Ministry of Education Officials, Principals and Teachers responded to the questionnaires. The opinions of these respondents were converted to raw scores, and frequency and percentage distributions were used to analyse the data collected. The Anova one way analysis test was also used to determine whether there were significant differences in the opinions of Educational Administrators, Principals and Teachers regarding the various aspect of the planning and the implementation of the Introductory Technology Programme in the junior secondary schools. It was found that a significant difference exist in the opinion of Ministry of Education officials, principals and teachers on the issue of provision of adequate teaching and learning materials for the JSS introductory technology programme. Teachers and Principals pointed out that the materials supplied to the school were not adequate while the Ministry of Education Officials argued that the supply was adequate, the respondents also disagreed on the issue of funding. Both teachers and principals said that adequate funds were not provided to the schools while the Ministry of Eduction Officials argued that enough funds were provided to the schools for the JSS introductory technology programme, on the three groups of respondent agreed that well qualified technical teachers were not available in the schools. On the planning and the implementation of the Junior secondary school programme, both principals and teachers stated that the planning and implementation of the programme are not good enough while the ministry of education officials argued that the planning and implementation are adequate. It was recommended that the state government should develop other strategies for raising fund such as through endowments, education rates, levies and surcharge on profits from industries. More workshops and workrooms should be provided to the schools and well qualified technical teachers should be posted to the schools to teach the course. The JSS introductory technology programme is a very important programme and if well implemented would lead to faster development of science and technology, in the stateen_US
