Architecture in its varied forms and limitless dimensions has been over the course of time and still, exerts an nu-ebbing demand on both designer and user. The demand is for compliance with culture on the one hand and the ever growing 'high-tech' of modern life on the other. Alongside these dipoles, there is the demand for consistency and ease of use from the human's the rmoregulatory mechanism, so that at any given moment, life would be lived without any undue stress. Be that stress from the feeling of alienation or adverse thermal conditions. The above aspects therefore translate to cultural factors and milieu within which architecture must prevail. Thus identifying and harnessing the various entities that make or mar an architectural compliance with a given environment, culture and users becomes the more important in developing a scheme. In that regard, it was possible to investigate the genesis of Islamic architecture and trace its evolution in the Nigerian context Thereby, bringing out a synthesized design that invariably reflects both the inspiration and aspirations of its users, in spite of their diverse background.en_US
