Abstract
In the world of today one thing is that, "change is constant". There is a
growing awareness of the inevitable process of change in our companies. The
rate of change is increasing due to faster technological advancements and
changes in society that are encouraged by intensified communication through
television, telephone, and the application of computer networks.
An additional complication is the fact that the business environment is
becoming more competitive. Not only are multinationals confronted by
foreign investors, medium and even small scale businesses are increasingly
subjected to pressures from emerging challenges in the business world.
To ensure continuous progress of the organisation, management tends to
device means of obtaining maximum utilisation of human resources; one of
these means is the introduction of organizational change.
These made it imperative for First Bank of Nig. Pic to embank on
organizational development.
